Drain camera inspections

CCTV drain camera inspection, and you watch it with us

A camera down the drain turns a guess into a fact. You see what is in the pipe, where it is, and how deep, and so does anyone you need to show it to.

  • You see the screen on the day
  • Fault located and marked on the surface
  • Before and after on repairs
  • Priced before we start

This is what you look at

Five point nine five metres in, and there is the problem

Drain camera monitor showing a broken section of sewer pipe 5.95 metres from the access point
A real job in Cremorne. The depth reading is on the screen, so the fault gets marked on the surface before anything is dug.
Drain camera monitor showing tree roots inside a sewer pipe 6.79 metres in
Roots through a joint at 6.79 metres. This is the most common thing we find under an older house.
Torch held inside a large old earthenware sewer pipe showing the inside wall
Original earthenware under a Mosman house, still in the ground. A camera tells you whether it can be relined or has to come out.

Old fashioned service. Modern day plumbing.

Since 2007

When a camera is worth it

  • A drain that keeps blocking. Twice in a year is a fault, not bad luck.
  • Before you buy. An old house on the North Shore with original clay, before you commit.
  • Before a renovation. Find out what is under the slab before the slab is poured over it.
  • Before you dig. We locate the line and mark it, so the excavator is not guessing.
  • For a strata report. Footage and a written finding a building manager can act on.

What you get

  1. The inspection. Camera through the line, with the drain cleared first if it needs to be.
  2. The position. The fault located and marked on the surface, with the depth.
  3. What we found, in plain language. Roots, a crack, a collapse, a belly, or nothing wrong.
  4. The price for the fix. Relining or excavation, both explained.

A sewer diagram can be pulled for the property as well, which tells us where the line is supposed to run before we start looking.
